Dr. Willis is a native of Louisiana and was born and raised in Plaquemine. He attended Barry University school of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida, where he spent four years and graduated in 2014. Dr. Willis’ interest in foot surgery brought him to the University of Texas Health Science Center where he completed a renowned three-year surgical residency program in 2017. After seven years away from home, he was ready to make his way back to Louisiana and joined Gulf South Foot & Ankle, LLC, in 2017.
Dr. Willis is Board Certified by the ABPM, and his passion is rearfoot and ankle surgery. He is well trained in ankle fracture repair and certified in cutting edge ankle implant surgery.
Dr. Willis met his wife at LSU during undergrad where they were both students. They had their first child in 2016 shortly before moving back to Louisiana. Being from Plaquemine and attending LSU, it is only natural that Dr. Willis is a huge football fan. His family has season tickets and they never miss a game. Dr. Willis also enjoys fishing, and he has a favorite fishing hole in Myrtle Grove where he loves to catch red fish.
