Dr. Thayer was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she grew up playing tennis and watching Louisiana sports teams. After graduating from Louisiana State University with a degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Chemistry, Dr. Thayer earned her medical degree from Kent State University, College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. She completed her residency at East Jefferson General Hospital Podiatry in June 2022.
Dr. Thayer worked at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she was a research project assistant. She was responsible for general lab maintenance and quality control. During podiatry school, Dr. Thayer assisted Dr. Debra Thornton at her practice in North Olmstead, Ohio.
Dr. Thayer enjoys playing tennis, reading, biking, and playing board games with family and friends. She is a huge New Orleans Saints and Pelicans fan, attending as many games as possible.
