Dr. Lagman was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. His family moved to the Philippines briefly while he was a child, where his father served in the Airforce. At 4 years of age the family returned to the states where they settled in Texas. Dr. Lagman graduated with a Biochemistry degree from Texas A&M. He is a huge A&M fan and during his residency program was rarely spotted in the operating room without his A&M surgical cap.
After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Dr. Lagman moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where he received his medical degree from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center. It was his surgical residency program that finally brought Dr. Lagman to Louisiana in 2003. He completed a 3-year Podiatric Medicine & Surgery residency program at Tulane-Lakeside Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana. Upon completion of his residency training, Dr. Lagman moved to the Northshore and has called Mandeville home ever since. Dr. Lagman has been in private practice for over 16 years and is surgically trained.
Dr. Lagman is happily married with 4 children and plays an active role in his kid’s extracurricular activities. Dr. Lagman and his wife, Chelsea, are a fixture on the sidelines at their kids sporting events. Chelsea is the coach for their children’s volleyball and basketball teams. When Dr. Lagman is not cheering on his children at their games, he enjoys spending time with friends and family relaxing by the pool.
